Things get worse

Monday 21 June 2010
The cramps in my leg are getting worse, Jayne is really concerned so arranges an appt with the Doctor, Roddy examins my leg and thinks i have a DVT, seemingly a side effect from my diagnosis, another injection, this time in the stomach FRAGMIN 15,000ml and an appointment at PRI ( Perth Royal Infirmary) for the next morning, 9am at PRI eventually get taken at 2.30, health board are stretched to the limit and we should all be thankful for all they do, the doctors and nurses are superb. More blood test taken and scanned for I think everything,( More bloody needles) Scan on leg reveals no blood clot so everything is go for the biopsy in the morning at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh.
CT scan showed countless Liver Metastases, pancreas is bulky and probably the origin of what Dr Palmer assumes is an adenocarcinoma.
In his letter to Dr Pattison My consultant Dr Palmer gave this Diagnosis
Derek is a 52 year old man in good health all his life, Over the past 7 weeks has had abdominal pain now radiating to the back, urine is dark, feels tired but with no weight loss, drinks moderately and upon exam found him to be jaundiced, a tender mass in the upper abdomen, no lymphadenophathy within neck.
Function tests are abnormal and his ca199 is massively elevated.
Clearly Derek has developed Pancreatic cancer and fear diagnosis will be poor.

PEOPLE READING THIS PLEASE LOOK OUT FOR SOME OF MY SYMPTOMS, IF YOU HAVE ANY.........PLEASE GET TO YOUR DOCTOR URGENTLY.
