Blackest day

Had my appointment with Dr Palmer and described my symptoms to him, apart from the fact that I was a normal fit healthy guy with no other health issues, Jayne was with me, so Dr Palmer gave me a physical exam, he noticed that I was a bit jaundiced in the eyes, something I hadn't noticed.
Dr Palmer sat us down and said...... Derek, this is serious, about 3 times he said that,, I was just numb as was Jayne..................He suspected that I had a " MASS " on my Pancreas and that he recommended a CT scan urgently and that he would arrange that asap...........I'll phone you at home tonight he said,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Jayne and I just looked at each other, tears welling up..... We went back out to the car and just sat there............Me F*** I don't get ill what if he is wrong ??????Jayne and I just hugged each other,,, Our life was / had just changed dramatically,, I struggled to cry No I'm strong, I have to be for Jayne and My Daughter Lauren.....
We drove home dazed and confused....
